Sometimes a great idea doesn’t start with a blueprint; it begins with a drink. That happened when award-winning entrepreneur Andrew Rose asked master mixologist Ken Gray to help him craft drinks to showcase his premium tequila brand, Luna Malvada. When Andrew tasted Ken’s mixers made with real juice and no added sugar, he realized they had something very special on their hands. Andrew was also aware that the current ready-to-drink (RTD) canned cocktails left much to be desired. That’s why Craftails went its own way, with ready-to-pour non-alcoholic mixers. “RTDs are everywhere, but you have to drink the liquor they chose at the strength they chose,” Andrew said. “I like a stronger drink, someone else weaker; I don’t like a certain tequila, but have to drink it in their drink. With Craftails, we want to offer your drink, your way. Choose your liquor and choose how much—or how little. We just make it better.”
